The musical compositions of Richard Burdick

Opus 140:

Chamber symphony # 9

version 1: for wind quintet and piano with optional trumpet

version 2: for wind quintet and strings with optional trumpet

The score and parts for this are ready. I'm looking for the premiere. I'll supply the score and parts free to whom ever schedules the first performance

Listen to the midi version:

What's wrong with the midi version? We'll besides a lack of expression, subtle dynamic, poor balance some missing notes, heart and the other things that make notes on a page become real Music, The middle section should be slower, there are at least three trills missing, plus many little ensemble problems. AND the english horn part is played by the oboe midi in the second slow section.

This work is around 8 minutes long. The midi recording is 7 min. 18 seconds long, but the slow sections are too fast.

This work is in five continuous parts and the form is basically:
A, B, A, C, A with the 4th's idea thrown in at the end of the second & thirds "A" sections that really drive the music to the end.
