Spotlight on the Agrium RSO Chamber Players
On May 13(2009) , the Regina Symphony’s Agrium Chamber Players gave a free concert at the George Bothwell Library at Regina’s Southland Mall. In its media release for the concert, the RSO took the opportunity to highlight just what the group has accomplished during the orchestra’s 100th anniversary season – and we were sufficiently charmed by this recounting that we decided to share it with you, too. Here goes:
“The RSO Chamber Players are true ambassadors for the Orchestra throughout every season. During the 2008-2009 season, in addition to a series of ten free performances, they performed thirty school concerts; six double Government House Concerts; four Culinary World Tour concerts at the Hotel Saskatchewan; in-school and public concerts in three rural communities; and made numerous corporate appearances. The individual musicians of the group also perform full time, as section leaders, with the Regina Symphony Orchestra.”
